SHARE YOUR MEMORIES OF THE HURDY GURDY!!!

The first concert presented by The Hurdy Gurdy took place on Saturday December 12, 1981 at the Fair Lawn Cultural Center.   Since that night, the Hurdy Gurdy Folk Music Club has been bringing acoustic music to audiences in Bergen County - offering concerts from legendary names like Pete Seeger, Odetta, Tom Paxton, Tommy Makem, Doc Watson and many others.  For many, the Hurdy Gurdy was the stage where they were introduced to friends like Christine Lavin, John Gorka, Red Molly and a wide array of artists who make up our folk community.

In  honor of our 30th Anniversary, we would like to hear from you.   Click on the "comment" button below and share your memories of favorite concerts, favorite moments or favorite friends you have experienced at the Hurdy Gurdy.

Thank you for your support as we begin the next 30 years of the Hurdy Gurdy!!

My first concert at the Hurdy Gurdy was to see Christine Lavin. The first two people I met were Bernice Epstein and Judy Rogers, and we have been friends since.

So many memories! So many great concerts and activities!
